Styles and Templates

Each Mondrian page is based on a template and style sheet. Our template and style sheet model guarantees cross browser compatibility of all your pages, ensures consistent layout and branding across your site and enables rapid site redesign.

As part of our service we will design the templates and style sheets according to your requirements. Alternatively you can create them yourself via the Mondrian Templating Module.

A template defines static areas (eg page header and footer) and editable regions of the page (where the content goes).

Mondrian templates can also include regions of dynamic server side code (for example if you want a page that displays details of a your organisations members from a database)

Mondrian provides a selection of components that may be placed in a template, some of which are listed below

Automatic printer friendly page generation

Mondrian will generate the printable version of a page and include a link to this page from the full version of the page.

Navigation bar generation

Mondrian will generate a navigation bar or menu for your site based on the site's structure

Breadcrumb trail generation

Mondrian will build a breadcrumb trail for inclusion at the top of any page. A breadcrumb trail shows the current page's position in the site structure with links back to higher levels in the structure.
